The Department of Geography, Loreto College, organized a Study Tour: Experiential Learning at Solar Dome Museum on April 29, 2025. Seventy-five students and four faculty members from the Department of Geography, Loreto College, visited the India’s first Solar Dome Museum in Kolkata for an educational excursion aimed at promoting experiential learning beyond the classroom.

During the visit, students explored interactive exhibits, installations and simulations that demonstrated key concepts such as the greenhouse effect, climate change, energy conservation, and carbon footprint reduction strategies, reinforcing their academic learning with practical experience. The museum also featured displays on solar architecture, allowing students to appreciate the role of design in sustainable urban planning.
This outcome based learning successfully bridged theoretical knowledge with real-world application, making the learning experience both impactful and memorable.
