Current Role: Research Scholar, Visva-Bharati University; Independent Political Consultant

Achievement: Roopsha Sil is an emerging scholar in the field of history and political studies, currently pursuing advanced research at Visva-Bharati University. She previously completed her MPhil in Modern South Asian Studies from the University of Oxford, where she actively contributed to academic and institutional initiatives as an elected Student Representative. Her research work focuses on historical memory, political thought, and interdisciplinary approaches to understanding India’s past, including her ongoing monograph on religious-political memory formation in the subcontinent.

In addition to her academic work, she has engaged in policy and political consulting, contributing analytical papers to platforms such as Observer Research Foundation and participating in election strategy consultancy during the 2024 General Elections. She has also demonstrated strong academic excellence, having topped her department at Loreto College and received the Sunita Sharma Memorial Medal. Her work reflects a unique intersection of academic research, public policy, and political analysis at both national and international levels.
