UGC guidelines for the establishment of Research and Development Cells (RDC) in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs)
The RDC structure as follows:
Research Advisory Council (RAC): The apex body headed by the Principal. Sr. Dr. A. Nirmala
Director (RDC): A distinguished researcher who coordinates all five committees. Dr. Dinaz R. Jeejeebhoy
Committee Convenors: Faculty members who lead each of the five sub-committees mentioned above.
1. Finance and Infrastructure
This committee acts as the backbone for the physical and financial needs of the research community.
Budgeting: Managing and allocating funds for research projects and institutional seed money.
Infrastructure: Developing and maintaining high-end central instrumental facilities and research labs.
Resource Mobilization: Identifying external funding agencies and managing Corporate Social Responsibility funds for research.
Grant Management: Overseeing the financial reporting and auditing of sanctioned projects.
