Career Counselling Cell- Session on NET English
The Career Counselling Cell of Loreto College organised a “Guidance Session for NET” for the PG English 2nd year and B.Ed. students on February 26, 2026. It was conducted by Ms. Ananya Sarkar, an alumna of the Department of English who is currently pursuing her Ph.D. at the Centre for English Studies at Jawaharlal Nehru Universit, New Delhi.
The session began with an overview of the UGC-NET examination and its different components like the structure, syllabus and the question pattern. That led to a discussion on how to effectively prepare for both papers and which resources one should avail, like books, websites and YouTube channels which aid in UGC-NET preparation.
The session was interactive and informative at the same time, as the audience was encouraged to ask questions and clarify their doubts.The students gained clarity and detailed, relevant information about the examination as well as strategies and guidance which would aid their prepapration for it.
