The Placement Cell of Loreto College, Kolkata, in collaboration with OutofCtrl Pvt. Ltd., successfully organized a session titled “Branding Blueprint: A Session on Marketing and Branding” on 10th March 2026 at 12:45 PM in Room 410 of the college premises. OutofCtrl Pvt. Ltd. is an organization dedicated to guiding individuals in branding and marketing, while also encouraging them to start their own ventures.
The session commenced with an introductory note by a student representative of the Placement Cell, who emphasized that in today’s competitive world, building a strong brand identity and understanding effective marketing strategies are essential skills for students entering the professional sphere. The session aimed to provide valuable insights into how brands are created, positioned, and sustained in the market.
Three distinguished resource persons from OutofCtrl Pvt. Ltd.; Mr. Apoorva Roka, Ms. Aradhana Singh, and Mr. Ayushmit Mondal, conducted the session, each sharing valuable insights from their respective areas of expertise. Mr. Apoorva Roka, the lead designer, spoke about the importance of visual aesthetics in branding. He explained that branding is essentially about stories and narratives, citing examples like Nike. He highlighted that brand strategies begin with identifying the target audience and that designers play a crucial role in framing the visual identity of a brand. Ms. Aradhana Singh discussed the role of marketing in branding. She elaborated on the concept of marketing funnels, from awareness to conversion, and explained how sales are influenced by effective branding and marketing strategies. Mr. Ayushmit Mondal focused on sales, emphasizing that consumers are not merely buying products but buying the stories behind them.
An engaging activity followed, where students worked in groups to build and pitch a brand based on topics provided by the resource persons. The enthusiastic participation and creative pitches reflected the students’ keen interest in applying the concepts they had just learned.
The session concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by a student representative, who expressed gratitude to the resource persons, OutofCtrl Pvt. Ltd., the college authorities, and the Placement Cell for organizing such an insightful and interactive session.
