Campus Bazaar
The Loreto College Incubation Centre (LCIC) successfully hosted the Campus Bazaar on September 19, 2025 at Loreto College, Kolkata, with the objective of nurturing and showcasing student entrepreneurship. The event featured eight dynamic student-run stalls that offered a delightful mix of creativity and innovation, with products ranging from crocheted items and handmade accessories to bookmarks, tote bags, candles, and other unique crafts. Each stall reflected the individuality and effort of its young entrepreneur, making the bazaar not just a marketplace but also a celebration of student talent.
The bazaar witnessed an impressive turnout throughout the day. Faculty members, students, and visitors enthusiastically supported the budding entrepreneurs, providing both encouragement and valuable feedback. This active participation created an energetic atmosphere, filled with collaboration, creativity, and commerce. The event truly embodied LCIC's mission to provide a platform where students can translate their ideas into impactful ventures.
Beyond sales, the initiative emphasized experiential learning. Students gained hands-on exposure to pricing, inventory management, customer engagement, and profit tracking. Records of sales and customer feedback were later shared with LCIC representatives for review, ensuring that participants not only celebrated success but also reflected on their journey for future growth. A particularly exciting outcome was the rise in social media engagement, as many businesses reported a surge in Instagram followers-helping them expand their reach beyond the college campus.
Encouraged by this overwhelming response, LCIC envisions more such initiatives in the future to strengthen student-led ventures. The Campus Bazaar has proven to be more than an event; it is a stepping stone for aspiring entrepreneurs, blending creativity with commerce and instilling a spirit of enterprise that will continue to enrich the Loreto College community.
