Chat with a Diplomat at the American Center

Representatives of the UN-MUN Cell attended an engaging session at the American Center Library titled "Chat with a Diplomat", featuring Mr. Ryan Cleary, a senior U.S. diplomat on June 27, 2025.

In his talk, Mr. Cleary offered a clear and comprehensive overview of the structure of the U.S. Government, highlighting key principles such as separation of powers, checks and balances, and federalism. He also explained the functioning of U.S. state governments, drawing comparisons with the Indian system to enhance students' understanding of global governance models.

The session was especially enriching in the context of international diplomacy, with Mr. Cleary discussing the evolving Indo-U.S. relationship. A lively Q&A followed, where students posed thoughtful questions on topics including U.S. foreign policy and democratic institutions.
